    1. try and sing your full name 1000x then imagine signing it 100,000x imagine signing a scribble auto 100,000x. Thats what companies expect nowdays.

    2. Have you seen the size of the sticker they sign on. I could not fit my full signature on one. Another reason for the scribbles.

I agree they could be better but I would not sign my full signature 100,000x and I collect cards! Imagine someone who knows nothing about cards.
Well said, but you no dont bite off more then you can chew.do it or dont, you no the value would be better on the card if some would say i cant sign that much.but alot just say screw it they look like crap,so pay me.This really could be a problem if they dont already they should grade cards on how the sig looks. On certified auto's that is...

Im sure a guy like yogi Berra doesn't have to sign 10,000 autos but he's over 80 now and he doesn't seem to have any trouble.

If they don't want to sign all the signatures for Topps, don't take the money to do it. However, I can see why athletes get tired of signing their signatures, especially since they know it's some 40 year old man wearing a sports jersey.

Site for some reason won't let me put up pictures, but I have a Clayton Kershaw 2012 gypsy queen auto, which looks terrible but if you search for pictures of his auto he consistently signs ugly. It always looks like "LP4W". Also Jordany Valdespin signs "J-V-". Lame.

I don't have a problem with most of the autographs out there. You have to understand that they are signing their autographs, not writing their name in script. Personally anytime I sign someone (e.g. credit card receipt) I basically "scribble" my initials, that's how I sign my name on everything. Of course no one is paying me for my autograph - and if they were I think I would try to make it more legible. I think if you can make out a few letters in the first and last name, it's satisfactory.
