Teams calling about DeAngelo Williams & Steven Jackson
The St. Louis Rams have fielded trade inquiries about running back Steven Jackson over the past few weeks in advance of Tuesday's NFL trade deadline, according to league sources.
Teams such as Arizona, Green Bay, Dallas and Pittsburgh each have dealt with injuries at the running back position and make sense as potential trade partners. Green Bay, in particular, has coveted Jackson in the past.
In recent weeks, teams around the league have contacted the Carolina Panthers to inquire about the availability of running back DeAngelo Williams, according to league sources.
The biggest obstacle to any Williams trade is his contract. His $5.25 million salary this season is guaranteed, meaning any team that trades for him would be on the hook for $2.6 million in the second half of the season.Trade Bucket: Hidden Content

great. That's all greenbay needs. A legit running back. Still its gonna take some money for anyone to sign one of these guys. I see the pats making a surprise move for Williams.

GB doesn't need a RB. Alex Green is fine. Our offense is built around the pass, which is obvious. Any talented back would be wasted in GB. He would at most get 15 carries a game.Sports enthusiast. Green Bay Packer and Milwaukee Brewer fan.

yeah. 15 carries and 100 yards lol. Everyone defends them with dime packages. Would be hard to stop a physical back like that. Not to mention either of those backs can catch too. Was just thinking out loud :-)
