I think 95% of people would wait the 9 months for hard signed if they had the choice.

Really??? You think most collectors are going to wait until June for the first rookie autograph cards of the year. I for one seriously doubt that.

The thing with the hard signed Freshman Signatures was most of them were NOT redemptions. You got them in the pack. I think for 2010-2011, out of 18 cards, only the Subban was a redemption. For last year, there were 36 cards. I am missing 6 of those cards (Larsson, Scheifele, Couturier, Read, Smith, and Saad) so I am assuming they are redemptions that have not been signed yet. I know there were a couple of redemptions that players have signed and turned in (Rinaldo and Bouma). So that was about 28 hard signed cards that were right in the packs. IMO, I think that is pretty good to be able so get so many hard signed rookie cards in a fall release. Also, the cards landed one per box. So that is why I am a little disappointed the cards are not hard signed this year. I really looked forward to collecting those cards. So much so that I did not even bother collecting the sticker Freshman Signatures that came out in the Rookie Anthology product. To me, the hard signed Freshman Signatures was a nice subset to collect. I prefered them over UD Young Guns.

This was my first thought about the subset: "Looks awesome, too bad there's guaranteed zero Habs cards." Hopefully next year they'll be on at least 16 of them. :)Habs fan and collector! Main PC's: Carey Price, Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, Juraj Slafkovsky, and of course...

Actually, 65.7% of people in a poll I posted on here this summer stated they don't mind sticker autos, especially if it meant not waiting for them (products pushed back) AND less redemptions.

I for one, would have ZERO problem waiting 9 months for a hard-signed auto over a sticker auto. No mater what the card. Why? That card 2-20 years from now will still be hard-signed. The sticker? No one will care at all. For me personally, sticker auto'd cards do not exist. No mater how good of a price the seller offers it for, to me it's value is zero dollars.
I would ONLY ever consider buying a sticker auto'd card to flip. And even then the deal would have to be SO amazing to make me consider it. Why? Because most hockey collectors feel the way I do. Not most off the on-line, chat-back-and-forth community, most of the HOCKEY fan community. Trust me, if a casual fan sees that a card is sticker auto'd they don't even consider the card to actually be autographed.
