    What's Up With This Picture?

    Hello everyone,

Panini chose this image to be featured on Jonas Hiller's 2011-12 Pinnacle base card.

He's a leftie, but signs the book using his right hand.

Weird, eh? Of course, he could play goalie left-handed and write with his right, but perhaps one of you Hiller fans could elaborate further.

While I am not familiar with which hand he is, this could easily be the case as I am also a right handed but play many sports left handed that involve a stick, club, or bat.

Its from the 10-11 ASG when the players walked the "red carpet" signing autos. I was on the other side behind the media area.
I collect Matt Dzieduszycki, Derek King, Pierre Turgeon (Isles only), Zigmund Palffy (Isles only) plus specific current Isles (mainly Wahlstrom, Dobson, Barzal, Beauvillier, Pulock)

the way he's holding the pen makes it look like he might just be using his weaker hand - curious to see what that auto looks like

Interesting theory, but the thing is, why would he do that in the first place? He doesn't seem to be holding anything in his left hand.

I'm confused ... didn't you say he was a leftie? That would make his right hand his weak hand. No?

You seem to have misunderstood what I wrote. Yes, his left hand is his strong hand while the right hand is his weak one. My question was: Why is he signing the card using his right hand when his left hand is clearly "available"? Why would he (on purpose) sign it using his weak hand?

When you flip the negative it's correct, but Corey Perry warps into Michael Jackson. Weird.
