You've got schmucks like Glenn Beck who literally said to buy farmland, move away from the east coast, and get "grandfathered" into the second amendment. The Brady Center on Gun Control (or whatever it is) gave Obama an F for his gun control policies. That argument gets me fuming.

I forgot to mention this. I was on facebook, and a friend of mine posted a status that said, "I'm done with Obama's socialist policies, I'm moving to Canada."

Ummmm the ultra rich are all buying farm land, just look at george soros. In case you didn't know it but Obamas first year deficit was greater then Bush's previous four year COMBINED. Farm land seems a VERY smart investment since they are printing like it toilet paper. Food is food and EVERYONE has to have it to survive. It is the safest place to invest if you want to keep your head above the rate of INFLATION>

Even funnier were the people saying they were going to the UK or France.....NO, I'm not joking, they actually said that!

These people are completely ignorant of the world and the U.S saying things like that, if they only knew!

I guess I base my thoughts on Obama and gun rights on more than some report by those Brady people (I will keep my opinion about them to myself, it isn't nice). I will admit that Obama does not appear to directly inhibit gun sales or ownership, however his administration does, regardless of what liberal websites like to say.

- Obama policy requires gun shops in states bordering Mexico to report sales of multiple semi-automatic guns. Since illegals can not legally buy a gun in America this law is actually only targeting American gun buyers. Ironically, this policy is in response to the flow of automatic guns over the border into Mexico that occurred in Fast and Furious. So the DOJ gets guns sold to Mexican cartels and then uses those sales to regulate gun sales to laaw-abiding American citizens. This happened under Obama's watch.

- After the Colorado theater shooting Obama called for stricter gun "rules". His call fell flat because Harry Reid said they couldn't fit it into their schedule for this session. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out what will be on the upcoming agenda.

- Obama's appointment of Eric Holder speaks volumes to gun owners. Holder wrote in a brief for the Heller case that citizens do not have a right to a working firearm in their home. This appointment of Holder came on the heels of the release of the Democratic gun ban list in 2009 that included a rider in the proposed bill that allows the Attorney General to ban any semi-auto rifle or shotgun that was designed for military use or is designed based on another gun designed for military use. So the Democrats try to get a law passed that gives the Attorney General absolute power and then Obama appoints a guy who thinks that Americans have no right to own a working gun.

I simply do not understand gun laws...Law abiding citizens follow and practice safe use of firearms. Why all the burden on them? I do get why to make automatic weapons illegal as there is no need for these as far as hunting goes. Stricter laws on guns will do nothing to stop bad people from getting guns. There is too large of a black market here in the US where this goes on all the time. It's like trying to stop people from buying/selling drugs.
