Top 2013 draft prospect Nathan MacKinnon is getting all the press, but don’t forget about another high-end, draft-eligible prospect on Halifax: Jonathan Drouin.

While MacKinnon threatens the league leaders with 18 goals and 30 points in 18 games, Drouin has the better point-per-game pace, with 11 goals and 24 points in 12 games. He’s missed a few outings with an upper-body injury and sat out the first game of the QMJHL leg of the Super Series (a 6-2 Russia win) with a minor foot injury from blocking a shot. When he returned for the back half of the exhibition series (a 5-2 ‘Q’ victory), Drouin promptly posted a goal and three assists and helped ignite MacKinnon as well.
