What to do on a tight budget?
Geting back into this hobby and in a spending mood as the holidays are approaching, with about $50-80 dollars as a budget what should I go for? Any boxes are within this price range (old or new) but have a solid yield of hits? Or should I get lots of singles and start trading on here?

If it were me, I'd just shop around for single items to add to your PC rather than take the chance on a box which could possibly be a bust. When you're on a budget it's better to go after what you really want.

Buy some singles (or one really nice card) that you really like for your personal collection. Busting packs is a real gamble like everyone has said. Once you have a little more money you can take a chance on a box and maybe trade the cards you dont want here on SCF. I collect strictly for fun and almost never open packs, instead I buy singles that I want for my PC.

Greetings:
As a person who has limited fundage as well I would start by seeing whats is available online on ebay for boxes and do some checking on the box/packs breaks here for reviews. Then go from there contrary to one persons belief saying buying boxes is rip-off its your collection collect what you feel is great then make some deals on SCF believe me everytime I get a box of something I am working on(I am a set builder) I check to see if there is others that might be doing the same thing and try to make a deal with them to complete my sets or get a lil closer unless I can find that one person who can complete it. Then if I find a couple of the retail places that offer random packs in the packages I try to find people that might be looking for the product I have and make deals that way as well if I find someone looking for specific team/player I try to let others know I dont have a trade page but I have blah blah to offer if they have something I need. I try to give fair deals everytime I make a deal like recently I sent someone 40 cards from their wantlist and hopefully when they recieve it they will think of me the next time they hit a show or shop that they look for my stuff as well what they want too. As like I stated before its your collection you can do what you feel is right for you.
