I was not collecting in 05-06 when crosby and ovechkin emerged. My question is why do crosby and ovechkin rookie cards sell for so much? For Example crosby trilogy rookie $100 Ovechkin $50 Stamkos $30. Future Watch Autos Crosby $500+ Ovechkin $225+ Stamkos $150+ whats the reason for the price difference? Stamkos is an elite goal scorer just is crosby and ovechkin top 5 players in NHL why do ovechkin and crosby rookie year cards sale for more than other top rookies?

It's Crosby, dubbed the Great One, has every ounce of hype and skill available. He plays on Pittsburgh, and is popular with the majority of players, also probably one of the most PC'd players. Ovechkin is Russian, skilled, and same reasons as Crosby. Stamkos is in Tampa. That is why.
