View my store BetaRegarding the bolded part, wow. If you really think like that, that's unfortunate to label all Dominican's like that.
I believe in OBP, but you're putting FAR too much stock into it. A) it's REALLY hard to find elite shortstop's, and it's not like he hacks at everything, his approach is fine, and he steals bases and gets many extra base hits. He's paid what he should be paid.
You've made my point why they need to relocate though, people don't show up, so there isn't a need for a team, right? However, the Marlins will make a TON of money before they even sell tickets. The Baseball TV deal increased enough that each team should receive about $25 million more per year now. So consider this, that money will cover their entire payroll before they sell a single ticket (and that's ignoring the money they get from revenue sharing).
Point is, they lied to their fans, they lied to the free agents (as seen in the article I posted by Ken Rosenthal), and they have lied to all of Baseball, again.

The Bluejays on Paper looked like a good team years ago , Wells, Rios, Overbay, Arron Hill, Glaus, Halladay, Burnett, BJ Ryan, and they didn't do anything.
My guess is, Josh Johnson will "tear" and miss at least 10 starts,. Mark Burlie will get 12 to 15 wins. Jose Baustisa or Edwin Encarnacion might test Postive PED and be suspended. Reyes will get into fights.

View my store BetaI love all thse Blue Jay skeptics. It's about time a team in Toronto is doing something right and this team is a whole lot better than that team ever was and will be. I believe that was the year gibson managed them and they almost won 90 games and that's pretty good especially in the a.l east. So again they did do something, but not enough.
Your assumptions are the eternal pessimist and have no backing whatsoever so I advise you go back into your hole until the season is over and sleep until all blue jay fans can laugh at you in unison. Totally off base with your your judgments and they are truly from left field, pun intended of course.

View my store BetaYou are the second person to post in this thread with an unknown grudge against the blue jays. Why can't you just accept the fact that they have improved and are contenders for the playoffs instead of making up excuses that have no semblance of ever taking place?

Well first I hate that will will not put some more color to that plain ugly blue all over the stadium. The color is sickening watching their games when they play the Twins or when I see their games on ESPN. I didn't like that they got rid of Alex Rios over a stupid argument with a heckler or when they traded for Shawn Green for lazy Raul Mondesi. I hate the fact they put the bullpen in the way so fans can not be closer down to the field. They should put the bullpen partially underground like the dugouts are.
I like when they got that new logo back around 2007 and wanted them to beat the Yankees. Then they layed down for the Yanks, when they had the juiced up talent to win it all. I hate when teams lay down.
I've seen enough teams lay down, the Twins had the Juiced Talent to beat the Yankees and they layed down several times for them.
As far as improving the Jays improved greatly. Facing reality someone will get injured, someone will get suspended for steroids and the Yankees will win the division again.
Plus you should not be with upset with the fact I am looking forward to Jays shelling the Twins. I am sick of the Twins laying down every year for the Bluejays, so I am rooting for the Jays to pound them. Even if Batista gets injured again, I would love to see him be healthy enough to face the Twins and hit mammoth shots against the them into the Upper Deck.Last edited by Gorillawits; 11-28-2012 at 06:02 AM.
