Rove: Primaries Backed Romney Into Damaging Corner

NAPLES, Fla. -- Karl Rove on Tuesday argued that President Obama won re-election despite his weaknesses with voters because Mitt Romney was a so-so candidate lured by the media into conservative positions during the GOP primaries.“I think that’s right,” he answered when former newsman Ted Koppel asked if Romney had been undone by that early phase of the presidential race. “I do think the primary was destructive to him.” Rove then added that he placed “blame” with journalists who hosted the debates. If reporters and TV...

Lured by the media? I don't think so.
"He's gone crazy," "You have to snap out of it," "Take your meds," or, "Don't be such a downer" serve only to mock, belittle, and make light of mental illness. Such phrases only continue the negative stigma and keep those who suffer from getting help. If these phrases, or phrases like them, are part of your at-hand vocabulary, you are part of the problem. #STOPtheStigma

It's a good thing for the party to implode a little. In the long term, anyway. They've become a caricature of themselves. It's not their policies that are the problem, though I do disagree with a lot of their policies, it's the tactics used by the people in charge. Gingrich was on Colbert last night and he actually made a good point when he said, "If you're running a business, you don't walk in and say 'the customers are stupid because they went to the other place. Stupid customers.' You look at what you're doing wrong and fix it." Republicans seem to have gotten over the sour grapes phased and are finally looking at themselves. Whatever conclusion they draw is up to them, but at least they're looking in the right direction.
