I love the headline of this story....
Brookline votes to ban Styrofoam use
Yes BROOKLINE voted to do it. Brookline that has almost 60,000 residents.
The vote was 169 to 27. El Oh El.

Just because turnout was astronomically low doesn't mean it didn't happen. Frankly, the story should have gone into why their was such a small amount of people voting on it."He's gone crazy," "You have to snap out of it," "Take your meds," or, "Don't be such a downer" serve only to mock, belittle, and make light of mental illness. Such phrases only continue the negative stigma and keep those who suffer from getting help. If these phrases, or phrases like them, are part of your at-hand vocabulary, you are part of the problem. #STOPtheStigma

I see your issue with the vote. Shows more that people in reality just dont care or are not paying attention.
Personally I have no issue with the ban but question the vote. To small to say that is the will of the people of Brookline
