The owners of the cards are the only ones that have final say over what price they sell their cards for, but in turn, the buyers are the only ones that decide whether or not to pay that amount. Trading is no different, both sides have to agree or it doesn't get done.

It's ironic that Maddux cards were brought up, as someone just the other week asked me if I had any for a trade I was making. Unfortunately I had traded all of them away already, but we still got our deal done. So there are people out there looking for Maddux still. It always saddens me to hear about cards being destroyed as they could've been used to make someone happy. I just can't understand why they would be considered worthless, especially when you either paid money or traded something for them.

As far as Ortiz being a drug addict, I don't know. I've never met the man personally & probably never will. I would much rather see pictures of him hitting baseballs rather than injecting himself with needles though, as I'm not a fan of needles as my doctor will agree. I'm not sure what the picture was supposed to be showing as I have no idea what "drug cuts" are, but as far as the bloodshot eyes are concerned my eyes look like that every day when I get home from work. Now, I've never checked the MSDS sheets on the glue that my company uses to bind books together, but I would hope that since around 80% are education related, I would hope that it doesn't contain crack-cocaine or heroine.
There are "bags" under peoples eyes when they do not get pure sleep.

Drugs cuts go farther down diagonal down underneath the eyes when people use drugs. I call them "drug cuts" crack-meth heads all kinds of drugs users get them. You can even get them from over use of prescription drugs. You see alot of people have huge drugs cuts when they get arrested in their mug shots while high. You should look at the photo one more time so you understand what I am talking about.

The longer a person uses drugs it can leave permanent slashes under the eyes looking like the person was cut with a razor. Kind of like how people who growl and frown their whole life get those big bull dog chops.

What is in the air where you are working, if your eyes get bloodshot there is something causing them to be irritated? Dave Ortiz works outside most of the time, why would his eyes be all druggy bloodshot?

My lawyer's eyes were all bloodshot one day in 2001. I thought at the time it was from lack of sleep. After my case was over, my brother goes and tells me my lawyer was a junkie. My brother was best friends with his daughter throughout high school and knew for years he was a drug user. To bad he didn't tell me in the first place.

That is why one day my lawyer was arguing with me and asked me and my mother to leave the room. Cause he had to take his snort of drugs so he could calm down. When we got back to the room he was all unusually calm.

Fumes from the hot glue used to hold the books together & tons of paper dust! Not to mention the fact that I work 12 hour shifts at a facility that is over an hour drive away!

What on earth is this guy talking about. lol What a train wreck of a thread. The David Ortiz stuff is just comedy gold... along with much of the other nonsense.

This guy is facing reality and not excusing the actions of MLB players based on their performance on the field.

I don't get why you made this thread about this topic and then went off on a tirade against PED abusers. Half the guys in your OP have nothing to do with PEDs. And that garbage about Ortiz using heroin and cocaine is laughable at best. There is not even such a thing as a "papi seed". lol How utterly ridiculous.

I sincerely appreciate your efforts in saving this thread, but I think it's best at this point for all of us to stop feeding the troll.

Actually I edited the Dave Ortiz drug part in to my first post cause I forgot to mention it in the first post. That was before I made my second post. So drugs was part of the thread.

So pappi and poppy are not pronounced the same?

We are not suppose to be starting fights on the thread. So if you can't stick to the topic without throwing personal insults then please leave.

You seem to be ok with starting them via PM though!

No I did not start fight with you. I expressed my opinion of dislike to your statement about agreeing with people not changing and refusing to feed hungry children which is evil. The last email was about how depressing the fact you will not change is, after I gave you the honest truth.

The fight you are having is with your own heart, as you debate which road you are going to spend the rest of your life on.
