$2,200 is too rich for my blood..... but just a suggestion you might want to actually go through the boxes enough to get an idea of what years the comics are from and if there is any key issues, what type of condition they are in and so on..... because I know for me even if I had the money with the details given I couldnt see myself dropping that much without knowing more

I appreciate your input - honestly, I don't want to figure out what the key issues are and such...I'm just hoping that about 30 cents an issue for batman superman etc is good for someone. There are many graphic novels I see, etc. It is my hope someone will be able to come over, thumb through them and go HECK YEAH! then pull the trigger :)

having looked through them is there a lot of older ones like from the 60s and 70s or do they look to be newer?

The majority appear to be 80's to 2000's

jdawg, I wasn't lying when I said I don't know about comics, and that I had not searched ... I don't know what I'm looking at for the most part. I bought a big collection earlier with lesser known comics in them, and they sold really well. That is why I picked this collection up. It appeared to be too big and too good to pass up, based upon how well I did on the last group. I'm not expecting there to be any $100 comics or anything; as a matter of fact, I fully expect there to be mainly $1-5 comics here. With that said, with the few hundred I have gone through, I have seen a few that have sold in the $8 to $16 range on ebay.

I can personally vouch for mouschi...he posted the last collection he bought on another site and I was able to go over there and thumb through them and select about 40 comics I wanted for my collection (I'm in Houston also). The last collection was a mish-mash of DC, Marvel and some independent publishers like Valiant. If this collection is like the other, then there are probably a good number of $1-5 books with a few $10 books sprinkled in, as that is what I found when I looked through the last go 'round.

Mouschi, if this was more a Marvel collection, you know I'd work something out with you to go and take a look again. As it is, I just filled up another shortbox with comics I've picked up recently and I really need to temper my recent purchases, LOL.

    Good luck in your sales.
