I posed this question a while back but I saw some ttm supposed successed and it got me thinking. Why do stars either ghostsign, stamp, personalize the card without the sending asking for it, intentionally damage the card or do other things that would cause the card not to be resold or traded. By forging autos that helps increase the sale of garbage online. If you don't want to sign the card simply return it with a note that says sorry I cannot/will not sign ttm. Yeah the auto collector may not like it but Im sure that he would rather have that than his card come back ruined. Also by sending forgeries out the fans who cannot tell the difference will tell other collectors which will cause more fan mail to come to the ballplayer and he will send out more forgeries. Where is the logic in that?
