Need Help. Been Left Bad Feedback From a 7-Month Old Cancelled Trade!
Hey everyone,
I am in need of some advice or help. I have been a member of this site for quite some time now. During my time here, I have had the pleasure to meet some great collectors and have completed 20+ successful trades with no issues. I have 100% positive feedback.........until now......
In May I had a thread in which I was trying to sell a large jersey/auto lot. I received many responses and quickly made a deal with a SCF member. He insisted that I send first. When we cut the deal, I had 13 feedback, even though it could be easily seen that I had done 20+ deals. With this knowledge brought forward, the buyer still declined to send first and threatened to report me to mods if I didn't send him the cards (bullying and extortion). Since I did not want to be reported and did not want to get ripped off, I came up with a fast solution.
I contacted all the previous members I have traded with, asking them to leave feedback on our deals. Less than 7 hours later I had 23 feedback. I sent the buyer a message, showing that I had the necessary feedback so that we could send at the same time. This clearly bothered the buyer and he reported me (nothing could be done since I had 23 feedback and matched the criteria to send at the same time). The trade was cancelled and no mods contacted me.
Today, out of nowhere, I received negative feedback from this cancelled deal........7 months after the deal was cancelled. If there was truly a dispute, wouldn't the buyer have dealt with it sooner? Why 7 months later? Is anyone aware if this can be fixed. I had 100% positive feedback prior to this mess. It seems really unfair that someone can blemish another's feedback just for the purpose of retribution. Please help!
Best Regards,
Tyler

Your best bet would be to talk to a mod and have them help you figure out the situation, they will be able to assist you much better than I can since they have the ability to be a middle man for you guys. Hopefully you figure everything out!

I thought that SCF would protect individuals from extortion and feedback retribution. Sadly, it appears as though they have a similar approach to eBay,letting the buyer slander and ruin the buyers reputation, while the buyer has protection and is vulnerable to such attacks

Have you contacted etmill01 as yet? If not, please do so and he will provide assistance and resolution to the matter. Thread will be closed as this isn't hockey card talk and it is a private matter not to be aired on the boards.
