Why try to win? The Jets can not make the playoffs at this point. While they are not mathmatically eliminated they pretty much are. They have to win every single game from now on and hope that the Steelers don't reach 9 wins (Steelers hold the tie-break because they beat the Jets in week 2 so if the Steelers reach 9-7 they automatically beat out the Jets) or hope that they can win a tie-break if the Bengals, Bills, Dolphins or Colts win 9 games.

Play McElroy and see what he can do and start looking at the draft for a QB if McElroy doesn't pan out.

I'd say stick with Sanchez. We've all seen Tebow play, the Jets defense is nowhere near as great as Denver's was last year. There isn't a Demaryius Thomas on the Jets team to help catch all of the wobbly, off-target Tebow passes. On the other hand would like to see Tebow start thanks to all the pandering from fans and fail miserably enough that they'll bash him the same as they do Sanchez

Have to agree with Duwal. New Scumland toasted Tebow twice in the space of a month last year, but then, you can't be sure that was on the up and up with the Puketriots, post-Spygate.

Anyway, Sanchez & Ryan will be outta here by next season. Rexy has written his ticket out of town by being too stubborn to see that Sanchez isn't getting it done anymore, and the brief fling with Eva Longoria was a distraction that he can't get out of his head. Trading for Tebow, it turns out, was a mistake, as they're not using him enough. McElroy is a proven winner (Alabama, DUH!), and if you didn't hear the crowd pop like crazy when he went in last Sunday, well.......!

Next spring, I'd send Sanchez to Seattle, reunite him with Pete Carroll and let him sit behind Russell Wilson. Ryan'll be gone, and the talk about hiring Bill Cowher will begin, you can count on it. If anyone's really to blame for the Jets being 5-7, it's Rex the talking Mule.

Jets this year are around 10th (depending on what rank you look at). Denver last year was around 20th.
