I'm so happy to see Stubbs out of Cincy...I will take the slight drop off in CF to actually have a competent bat at the top of the order for the Reds. Votto won't know how to act with someone actually on base for him.

It won't be near as bad as the comedy that is Drew Stubbs at the plate. GABP sets up nicely for either in CF actually for home games. It's relatively small and not much room to cover, and Choo's bat should well offset any defensive problems in CF. Plus, I'd say in late inning situations Choo will slide to LF & Heisey will come in play center. We shall see...as a Reds fan, I'm elated at getting Stubbs out of the lineup. Now Dusty can't continually run him out there in the leadoff spot.

Not sure if this is a good reason to part with him, but bauers relationship with the D'Backs has been not good. They did not agree with him on his training/throwing regimen, and basically unhappy with his attitude.
SS prospect acquired is apparently a very good one.

i guess we'll see how this all turns out.

I would think not much since Choo is only under contract for 2013 and can easily move back to a corner OF spot where he really belongs if the Reds want to make room for Hamilton.

I think the Indians win big in this trade though. 6 cost controlled years of Bauer for 1 year of Choo and an exchange of spare parts. Sounds good to me
