Michigan GOP sneaks thru bills to limit women's access to abortion svcs during Right

While the spotlight and media attention was focused on the outrageous anti-worker legislation that Republicans jammed through the legislature last Thursday, they also made sure to throw in some equally outrageous attacks in their War on Women. Bills were passed as part of their overhaul of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan that include prohibitions on access to abortion for Michigan women. Additionally, they passed a bill that will force ALL women covered by health insurance in Michigan to purchase separate riders covering abortion services.

Another state doing an end around Roe vs Wade. However, this seems to be the only way the republican party can get around Roe Vs Wade.

These laws restricting abortion are stupid. Either make it legal or illegal. However as long as these conservative, christian, right wing republicans refuse to give society the tools they need to make informed decisions about the sexuality, how to prevent STDs and how not to get pregnant there will always be a demand for abortion weather legal or illegal. Also these republicans claim to be so infavor of the rights of babies but refuse to fund social programs that will help young mothers and their children. The republicans are nothing but serpants who speak with a split tounge.

No every woman regardless of the state she lives in or her or anyone else's religion should have access to the neccessary tools to make informed decisions about her sexuality and to prevent unwanted pregnancies in the first place. How is that such a hard concept for conservatives to grasp?

Is it not common knowledge how a woman gets pregnant? Preventing an unwanted pregnancy is one the easiest things in the world, yet here we are. Is it really lack of eduaction or discipline for abstinence? Maybe the schools should pass out more free condoms.
