YES. They HAVE to pay before you ship. Never ship without payment as probably 1 of your first 20 or so auctions will have a non-paying bidder.

Another question: when do I provide feedback? Right after I get a notification that I've been paid?

That's a judgement call, and I think different sellers use different methods. Some prefer to wait until the buyer has left them positive feedback before reciprocating, because they see the buyer's feedback as "completing" the deal. Others leave it immediately after being paid, or when they ship...I personally do it right after receiving payment, but I don't think there's a right/wrong answer.

There was a big debate on this a little while ago. The thread is here:

    It's not numbered so it's a 1/1? Ebay Help?!?!

I was browsing ebay when i stumbled upon a apparent Magnus Paajarvi Phenoms Auto 1/1. In the description the seller says....

The card should be numbered and isn't making it a true 1/1

I'm not to sure how a non numbered card is a 1/1? I may be missing something the card is #MPS in the set apposed to card #210 in the set. Which is what I would guess his normal Phenoms auto /299. This just had me really confused and somewhat agitated. Any help would be great lol.

This has to be some kind of promo or something. If you look at the actual Phenoms it has a different picture on it than that card. Also, the Limited logo is gone and the Panini logo is there instead. Here is a picture of the actual Phenoms:

Edit: I just found a similar card of Jacob Markstrom http://www.ebay.ca/itm/JACOB-MARKSTR...item256cbc9858

Some people on eBay will call anything a 1/1 regardless of how tenuous that connection to reality may or may not be. I've seen Malkin cards that are 87/xxx get called a 1/1 because it's Crosby's jersey number and Crosby plays on Malkin's team.

Same problem with the same member the_chief

Just looked online to see if anyone else had the same issue, and apparently I am not alone. Item shipped on the 17th of Dec and never arrived.

Members message today was: "ok you have until friday . if it does not show its no my problem anymore"

I will keep posted on the outcome. Hopefully both of ours arrives to him!
