Rant about eBay buyers lately.
Alright, quick rant.
What is up with eBay buyers lately? I swear I've been getting so many messages from impatient buyers, asking where their cards are after a week and sometimes even less. Many of these complaints are coming from Canadians. Is there something in the water lately? Anyone else dealing with a lot of impatient buyers?

I think it is more a case of lost trust and doubt that has been created by the criminal culture that exists on EBAY.
The want list at this link features what I need of Gretzky, Roy, Ottawa Senators, and Miscellaneous sets. I also have a CFL want list on my page and if you have nothing from it I will consider other traders of current Ottawa Senators,Guy Lafleur, + trade bait.

Respond to them that they could have paid for tracking, and then they could see where their card was. But instead, they will just have to wait. Of course, to get tracking to Canada, its $12.95 for Registered Mail on top of whatever the regular postage is. So if they want a small padded envelope, shipping will be over $20.

I think with the Tim Hortons/McDavid craze a lot of new collectors have entered the eBay scene and are very excited to recieve their new goodies. A lot of my sales lately have been people with 10-20 feedback. I know when I started getting stuff in the mail I was checking the box every day.

ignorance of the mail system, is what it sound like.
eBay does explicitly tell you when you should expect to see the package arrive (and I think when coming from the USA, it's about 2 weeks after a ship date).
I have not had that problem recently, but every once in a while someone will ask.

Tell them to do the smart thing. Move to the other side of the border and cards will show up in a few days.
I collect Matt Dzieduszycki, Derek King, Pierre Turgeon (Isles only), Zigmund Palffy (Isles only) plus specific current Isles (mainly Wahlstrom, Dobson, Barzal, Beauvillier, Pulock)

Please, no more offers for tradebait. I have enough of it as it is.

This seems to be the main reason. I explain to people it could take weeks for it to get there from the US, and have even had a few people argue with me it should only take a few days. It's not like I'm making this up, i says it right on ebays page like you said.Last edited by 30ranfordfan; 01-28-2016 at 11:04 AM.

I'm only here to speak the truth :)
I live in Cambridge, Ontario. I'm about 60 Miles South West of Toronto, or 90 Miles North East(ish) of the border with Buffalo. I find that I will get packages from Sweden or Finland in less than it will take to reach me from Western New York. It's got nothing to do with the guy packaging things up.... and everything to do with the people running the Canada / USA border.

I need advice from the SCF world. Recently won an auction, a whopping $8.50. I thought it was a great price for a card I wanted. And then I get the invoice. $16.00 shipping! $3 for the shipping and $13 for global shipping program. If that card was sent from USA to me I would not have paid any duty or taxes. But because eBay need to take more of our money I had to pay $13.00 more. It didn't say this in the auction and in my past experience low value items aren't hit with the global shipping BS.
So my question to all of you is this, do I suck it up and move on? Do I reflect my displeasure in a neutral feedback or do I leave positive as its not really the sellers fault.
