It was obivious that someone was going to overpay for him. No doubt, he's a consistent 25 homer,90 RBI player, but he's 32. I'm just glad the Yankees stayed away.

I like Swisher as a person and he was a good player for the Yankees but the guy stunk in the playoffs and if you are on the Yankees you can't do that. It got ugly near the end for him and the fans when it really shouldn't have.

why is age an issue? The Yankees have more older players than any other team in the league. They have 8 players on their starting roster that will be older than Swisher

He really wasn't overpaid, that's fair value, considering guys like Victorino got $13 million a year.

If they're really intent on staying under the luxury tax limit, I understand them not signing him, but it'll offset if they give Cano a 10 year $200 million deal next offseason (which if they just look at the A-Rod deal, they should realize would be dumb).

    Also, love that avatar, lol

Swisher is a good clubhouse guy but the Indians overpaid for him.As a Yankees fan they need to focus on Robinson Cano.He had a bad postseason but he still hitting his prime

Baseball prime is typically considered 28-32, so he's at the end of it (which is why some team will be dumb to pay a 2nd basemen 10 years and $200 million +, in my opinion)
