Very unique find for me.
Found this in a antique mall in a small town while going for a long drive, my girlfriend wanted to go to the casino and we decided to make a detour in the downtown areas of all the small towns on the way. We stumbled upon a cool 3 story antique mall. I walked all around and found this photo that caught my eye. I am a big fan of aviation, specifically from the WWII era. This is a photo of a squadron called VMF-121 that served in the Pacific. It is signed by Pilots Joseph J. Foos, Capt., USMCR, W.B. "Bill" Freeman, Lt., USMCR; Thomas W. Furlow, Lt., USMCR; and Roger A. Haberman, Lt., USMCR. Joe Foss was a Medal of Honor recipient with 26 victories during WWII.
Now I am sure your asking think cool find why is it in this section? Joe Foss was one of the Commissioners of the AFL.
"After serving as governor, Foss spent a short time working for Raven Industries before becoming the first Commissioner of the newly created American Football League in 1959. He oversaw the emergence of the league as the genesis of modern professional football. During the next seven years, Foss helped expand the league and made lucrative television deals, including a five-year, $10.6 million contract with ABC in 1960 to broadcast AFL games. He then stepped aside as commissioner in 1966, two months before the historic agreement that led to the merger of AFL and NFL and the creation of the Super Bowl"-Wiki
