So it's your belief that the Federal Government would be spending less if the Democrats controlled the House of Representatives along with the Senate and White House? Or that they would be able to raise taxes to bring down the deficit?

Whether it's true or not the fact remains Republicans are against Obama for being Obama, and that's just bad governing. I suppose we could have Romney giving tax breaks to people who commit treason? Would that make you happy? That was his plan.

Who's touting it as a great accomplishment.
All I see is proof that the Republicans will lie about anything and always be against Obama for no reason other than he's the first black...he's Obama.

That's what happens when one of the involved is black. They will argue and cajole this man into a massive ulcerated retirement. I also think he will be the most unsafe, past President in US history. There are just far too many in the country for him not to be in daily peril.

The deficit going up over $100 billion per month under Obama is a lie?

The deficit isn't going up $100 billion a month. The debt is, but the debt and deficit are two different things.

I'm going to lose some liberal cred with this, but those numbers are a bit misleading. Has Obama lowered the deficit from Bush's last budget (2009)? Yes. However, the only reason he's been able to do that is because he inherited a MASSIVE spending year in 2008-09 with all of the bailouts (the deficit doubled in 2009, I think). So yes, he's drawn down the deficit, but he's drawn it down from a very inflated number.

Fair enough. The deficit is over $100 billion per month or over $1 trillion per year. Bottom line is the Federal Government is spending about 40% more than they take in which has been happening since President Obama took office.
