Source: Cardinals hire Bruce Arians as head coach

    http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/88...ng-team-source

The Arizona Cardinals have hired Bruce Arians as their new head coach, a team source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Arians, who spent this past season as the Indianapolis Colts' offensive coordinator, accepted a four-year deal with the Cardinals that includes a team option for a fifth year, according to the source.

Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell also was a candidate for the job but withdrew because Seattle gave him a new contract, a source told ESPN.

In hiring Arians, the Cardinals ended a coaching search that lasted nearly three weeks. Arians will replace Ken Whisenhunt, who was fired Dec. 31 after Arizona's disappointing 5-11 season.

things may turn around for Larry Fitz, Arians has done great things with his WR; then again, he actually had a QB

Arians was highly predictable as a play caller with the Steelers. You can count on him to call a dump off pass or draw play on every 3rd and long, even if the game is on the line. His formations telegraph what the play is going to be. Only one time in 9 years has his offense ever produced a top 10 in yards or top 10 in scoring rank. This year with the Colts marks the first time in 9 years that his offense was higher than 15th in passing yards. Just not a good offensive mind IMO.
