Yes, those probably were your breaks I was reading about on the board, netsinah, unless I'm confusing you with all those other members on SCF that have opened over 20+ cases of 05-06 Cup. I was always amazed and enthralled by the seemingly endless pictures of beautiful, high-end cards in your threads. My "inner Cup child" felt bad for you when those cases didn't yield any case hits.

YES to only buying factory sealed cases! Thanks for reminding me about the reality of dead cases. I just simply need to take a gander at all the single boxes listed on ebay to remind me. Scarey to think of resealed cases. I hate to say it, but if there is the possibility of a decent amount of easy money to be made, it's probably happened, and more than once.

Waiting for the lockout-enriched 13-14 Cup is probably the logical thing to do. Maybe I can save some money for 13-14 by compromising and purchasing a mini case of 10-11 instead of the full case. Just to tide me over...

Thanks for taking the time to share your advice and experience with me. Lots of fun memories of your breaks.

    Much appreciated!

If it was my money I would also go 10-11. Strong rookie Crop. My main decision to saty away from 05-06 is that its double the price and EXPIRED REDEMPTIONS.

If you go 10-11 that leaves easier trade bait to move compared to 05-06 where quite a few dont play anymore and they drop off.
