Man stabbed in throat after NFC Championship Game

A fan was stabbed in the neck after the NFC Championship Game outside of the Georgia Dome on Sunday night.

A witness told Channel 2's Rachel Stockman a Falcons fan, who was upset about the team's loss, began arguing with a 49ers backer in the silver lot outside Gate D. The argument turned violent when the Falcons fan punched the 49ers fan, who then pulled out a knife.

One of the two men was stabbed in the throat area and transported to a local hospital.

Absolutely ridiculous what some people will do over the outcome of a sporting event.

I hope the victim is okay and makes a full recovery (article says condition is unkown, I'll hope for the best) and I hope the stabber gets some well deserved time to rot behind the bars. Absolutely sickening!
