2008-09 Topps Signature

Had an Amazon gift card, so got a box of Topps Signature.

Going in, I knew that I was at least getting one of their "Group A" signatures, so there was about an 80% chance I was getting something super-sweet...I wouldn't have been so stoked with a Vince Carter, Brandon Roy, or OJ Mayo...but a chance at a Bill Russell, Shaq, or Larry Bird? Count me in.

It was heavy on vet & retired player autos, which I love

So, eight packs, eight autos (any marks are from scanner), and the parallels are pretty sweet. Got 6 red and two black auto facsimiles (highlights were a Bill Russell black and the Westbrook red RC below), a few rookies, and the below spoils:

My Group A auto was a home run, except that I hit two Group A autos! I was stoked with the first, but the second was huge.

Great pulls! This set was widely panned when it came out, but it sure seems a lot better now compared to Panini's overindulgent rookie autograph releases these days.

Thanks! I had low expectations (since everyone seems to pull Thaddeus and Nick Young) and mainly went with this box because I needed trade bait and figured (hoped) I'd pull one nice group A for my PC and then have a bunch of cards to trade. Pulling Wade and the Logo was sick!
