    Nino Niederreiter is requesting a trade from the New York Islanders, as the former No. 5 overall pick hasn’t gotten his shot. “His agent informed Islanders general manager Garth Snow of the request last week, the source said, although Snow is not believed to be amenable to doing a deal -- at least at the moment.”

    hah, the only way Vancouver is getting Nino for Luongo is if they take on Dipietro as well.

    Nobody is going to take DiPietro for any reason. He's as damaged as Yashin was.

    Yup and Van buys him out at the end of the year after he backs up Schneider. They bring up Lack to backup next year and have Nino.
