    Next year - need advice

Need advice since I only re-started collecting cards last year, and havent really gotten much this year because of the lack of rookies.

for next year, looks like they will be double the rookies than usual.
what will the price points be on hobby boxes?
will they be double the price, or lets say 40-50$ more for boxes that cost 80-100$?

let me know if anyone has any idea about this.
    thanks

I hope that card shops don't jack up the price (right away) because of the rookie crop. It SHOULD be the same price. Emphasis on the SHOULD part.

I can't imagine the price point would be any different than normal. That being said.... SPGU was reduced in price this year, so expect it to jump back up. Wouldn't be surprised if other sets are reduced this year.... But 11-12 pricing should be considered normal.

What you may see happen though, is once the first wave of any product hits the shelves... They'll sell fast, due to the extra rookies, and distributors will jack up their pricing, forcing shops that want to restock to raise theirs too.

Im going to test my self control and put 100-200 per month in savings starting this month and just buying the cup next year, that will be a stacked product! Hoping for 3 6 box cases.

I'll being doing the same with series 1 and 2, want to bust a couple cases of each and ultimately keep 1 set of YG's and move everything else to hopefully make a nice little profit

I'm guessing prices will be a little higher but nothing too ridiculous.

I think UD and Panini will not be able to resist MASSIVELY overproducing to take advantage of demand...which is fine, but will ultimately serve to depress secondary market prices for everyone but the premier RCs. If these rooks aren't producing the way Crosby and Ovechkin were in 2005, then the drop will be across the board.

If there's money to be made, the distributors will undoubtedly increase the prices. For the popular sets, it'll likely be best to pre-order to save money, as demand after the initial release will likely lead to a price increase.
