No, because the cards aren't aimed at the same audience

what audience? The audience that wants value for thier money?
I feel the same way about Cup /99 vs Dominion /99...speculators buy Cup while collectors buy Dominion

Chortle chortle! We all gots our own tastes and preferences and opinions. I agree that $212 or $225 or $200 is insane for Fleer Retro, because I'd crack a box and get maybe 5 or 6 PC cards out of it. OR I could hit a Wayne Gretzky 6/10. But I wouldn't, I'd be getting the 5 or 6 PC cards, because I'm cursed.

I can't afford to bust The Cup or Dominion, but I CAN afford to chase singles every now and then. And if I didn't have the lunatics opening this stuff by the case, who would I get it all from???

I won a few Retro singles from eBay and I like them, they're nicely done. I'm assuming some of the guys selling the singles are busting by the case, they'll probably do pretty decently after all is said and done.........."value" is allllll relative.
