Newbie checking in from the Bay Area

Hey SCF! I'm new here - I found this site through the 49ers message board a couple days ago. Let me introduce myself...

This year I will turn 30 (man I feel old lol). I live in a little city called Bay Point in the East San Francisco Bay Area (about 40 miles from San Francisco). I am married with an 8 year old son and a 3 year old daughter.

I am a die-hard Giants fan and 49ers fan. I am a Giants season ticket holder and I run a group with which I share my tickets. I attend about 15 Giants home games a year.

I started collecting baseball cards in elementary school (I can date it back to about 3rd grade). My dad was a collector and he got my brother and I started from birth (he bought me a 1983 Fleer complete set - my birth year). My brother and I were huge collectors growing up. We'd ride our bikes to the local card shop a couple days a week and collect and trade with each other and friends. We got packs of baseball cards as rewards for good grades.

I kinda stopped collecting cards after high school and started collecting memorabilia. I'll buy cards here and there now, but I'm more of a memorabilia collector now. I collect anything and everything Giants. Jerseys, hats, bobble heads, bats, balls, McFarlanes, etc. My garage is a Giants themed man cave/gameroom (with a small 49ers section). My few days on this forum are already getting me back into collecting cards though lol.

I'm looking to get back into TTM (I did it when I was younger) and start collecting more Giants and 49ers autographs, and that's how I found this forum.

Welcome to the site. I'm like you, more of a memorabilia collector. Cards are nice but they sit in binders, boxes, ect whereas it's nice to look at signed balls, bats, mini helmets, pucks and the like when they are displayed. Anyways, welcome and BOL with your collection.
