New USPS Postal Rates Regarding Re-Inforced Non-Machineable PWE To Canada

Just returned from the Post Office and am more than shocked.

Not $1.10 for 1 Card in a Re-Inforced PWE, now $1.30 .....Increased from #1.05 or 25 cent increase.

    Here's the Rates:

    PWE to Canada - 1 Card, 2 Pieces of Cardboard, 1 Top-Loader - $1.30

    PWE To Canada - 2-5 Cards - 2 Pieces of Cardboard, 1 Top-Loader - $1.30 - this weight is 1.15 ounces, just under 2 ounces.

    Now the Shock

Smallest Bubble Envelop to Canada or Europe with 1 card and 1 Top-Loader - $6.55 USD

That's a 118.5% Increase in one day from the old rate of $3.00.

The US Domestic Increase on a PWE? One Cent to .66 Cents. Lol

When you mail the PWE to Canada, do you have to do anything special for the address or include a form? Does the envelope have to be handwritten on (as required for registered mail) or can I continue to use avery labels?

No Forms, takes only 5 days from Oregon here where I am to Toronto. That's 2,646 miles - 6 days to Nova Scotia, which is about 3,600 miles.

Yes you can use Avery Labels, or hand-write it.

Did you try shipping one card in one bubble in a nonmachinable? (If it fits of course)

Also, one other annoying question: Do I have to give the envelopes to a post office teller or can I just drop it off in the mail chute?

Bubble becomes a Package, it does not matter. Bubble is now longer an envelop and has not been treated as an envelop since last January 22, of 2012.

A Bubble Envelop has been treated as a Package in the USA now for One Year and 6 days.

    Rate: $6.55 International

Whatever you want to do, just make sure you have $1.30 on for postage.

I just shipped a card to Canada last week in a bubble for $1.10. I have always with no issues. As long as it fit in the slot they accepted it.

Your postal employees are morons and will soon be fired. Any PO that is on top their game. Last week was $3.00 to Canada, this week $6.55.

If You are living in an area with USPS Idiots working, then consider yourself lucky.

then you are lucky. I had to ask one day why my white envelope cost 3.30. They said it was because I put the customs form on - which they said was needed. Apparently USPS chamges their requirements so frequently even their own employees can't keep up.
