veggie - i have asked this probably 5-7 times and you refuse to answer. The new testament clearly states that all foods are now deemed clean by God. Why do you refuse to acknowledge these verses while clinging to the ones that support you? Why are the verses you quote applicable but the new testament verses, which not only came later but were specifically written to overrule the ones you use, not applicable to you? It seems you are doing what many christians do and picking and choosing only those verses which support your already established ideals.

Check this out then. Since the bible does not explicitly say thou shall not drink alcohol you then you should be ok with the consumption of alcohol. It also does not say thou shall not do drugs you should have no problem with someone who wants to sniff a line of coke or smoke a few blunts. No because all of those activities including consuming meat are unhealthy and destroy the body while doing nothing to get you closer to God.Drug and smoke free trading.

It does warn against drunkenness and "druggery"
There's also the part that says life is a gift from God including your body. Treat it as such.

those scenarios have nothing to do with this topic of conversation. You are using topics which are not directly addressed to justify ignoring a topic that is specifically addressed. You choosing to ignore verses that disagree with your opinion, has nothing to do with topics the bible doesn't directly address
on a side note, as for the original post. I don't think there is anyone alive who doesn't know that a southern fried diet is bad for your health.

If I could quote the previous post" There's also the part that says life is a gift from God including your body. Treat it as such."
Meat is not life. Meat symbolizes death and destruction. If God is about life on earth and everlasting life beyond why would you want to consume death? It makes no sense to me.

The bible says drinking to excess is a sin.
The bible warns against druggery.
So...this post is pretty much worthless as it's based on misinformation.

veggie, not even close, he spoke of how to pray, when to give alms, and what to eat.
When you go into any land and walk about in the districts, if they receive you, eat what they will set before you, and heal the sick among them. For what goes into your mouth will not defile you, but that which issues from your mouth - it is that which will defile you."
cent, you again with this junk? last time you were asked to prove it, you never replied.
second you can compare and contrast to make everything look related, but their will be no new adam and eve, no new flood, no new exodus.

Tons of folks don't know this, many of them functionally illiterate. They think it's "normal eatin". Most of them don't give a damn anyway.
