Baseballs TTM
I looked at the shipping guide post, but it is a few years old. How is everybody doing baseballs TTM now? I am about to start my TTM collecting starting with baseball players from the past.

Hi....2 bubble mailers, one big and one big enough for the ball (something like an 8.5x11 & a 6x9 water resistant would work). Self address the small one, add proper postage (remember to put the ball in it first!!!!), then stick it (with the ball in it is easier...also I put the ball in a ziploc bag for extra waterproofing), your letter, and a pen in the big one addressed to the player. Add your proper postage to that, send, and wait impatiently!!!! Postage is about $2-$2.50 each way...hope this helps!

Thanks, I am just starting all the TTM stuff. Former MLB player Billy O'Dell lives in town, and actually taught me how to pitch when I was a little kid, so now I have decided to do this stuff. Seems like it is a lot more fun getting the autographs yourself than buying them like I have been doing.

You will learn that doing ttm will create a Love/Hate relationship with your postal carrier. Make sure you check the success rate of the players before you send so that you don't waste your $. I highly suggest sending to Jim Bunning! SCF is a great place for resources as well as finding people to trade with.

I am looking at sending to Bobby Doerr, Alvin Dark (who lives in South Carolina and like 10 miles from my brother), and BJ Surhoff first. Jim Bunning is on my list as well.

I sent one several days ago first class and I payed ~ $9. They put i think 3 first class stckers on each mailer. It might be cheaper if you don't fly first class
