Who do you think is the best player to never win the Stanley Cup? Just going with retired players since active guys still have a shot at winning it.

Both Gilmour and MacInnis won it with Calgary in 1989. In fact, MacInnis was the playoff MVP.

Have to agree with Dionne - 18 year career, 700+ goals, 1700+ points, 5th all time leader in points in NHL history.

Never played in the playoffs beyond the second round.

Per Wikipedia: in 1998, he was ranked number 38 on The Hockey News' list of the 100 Greatest Hockey Players, the highest-ranking player to have not won a Stanley Cup.
