How do you mean?

Guys that have scored 500+ goals, and played fewer than 1,000 games...... or simply guys that reached 500 goals in less than 1,000 games?

Pretty sure he means players that scored more than 500 goals in their career who played less than 1000 games in their career. There are only 3. 2 of them are fairly easy, the 3rd (the one with the most career goals) was a little surprising until you think about it.

MIke Bossy, Mario Lemieux, and this is where I may be wrong but I believe Maurice Richard fell just short of 1000 games?

yes they played less then a 1000 in their career but still scored 500+.

Dustint- you are correct. Can you image what those guys might have done if they played say 1200-1300 games. Lemieux and Bossy might have challenged Gretzky . Richard had to do it while playing only a 60 game or less schedule.

Oh for sure. Now that you mentioned I just went and checked their stats and calculated their goals per game avg
