JK's Card Story # 01 : about 1997-98 UD3 Season Ticket Redemption
I'm poor at English. SO if some expression and languague will tough and rough,
DO me a favor about that,Please. =)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now a days, I have been really busy, but today was holiday in my country.(Liberation Day)
Anyway, I have a little time today and I promised I will post about this to
some guys.(Especially jeebus86)
When I get this card, I didn't know about these cards set.
First of all, I have been a little professionaled in 90's Insert and Parallel
cards.
Because I have collected NBA Cards around 1994 and been a big fan of 90's.
Besides, sometimes beckett price guide is a little useful for 90's cards.
Because Beckett Employeee haven't know well about 90's cards as my assume.
The point is that, I have known many of cards from 90's Brands and been able to value without beckett price guide magazine.
The point is that I didn't know these Season Tickets well, I have known many 90's cards though.
I have collected unredemped cards like 96-97 topps super team.
I bought Juwan Howard, Eddie Jones and Kobe Bryant from U.S.
And others were from Germany.
I could get some information from Seller and a few Beckett Members.
At first, UD3 Season Ticket were not from Pack or BOX.
It is like prototype.
And it was not for sale but one upperdeck employee stole or bought then let to the market.
As my memory, I didn't see this kind at that time in shop of my country.
And..How rare is this set?
I could know there are 3 Sprewell Season Ticket Trade include mine.
SO I could assume there may be 3 Cards Exist each.
Because I also have known Sprewell Crazy Collector in my country.
Even He haven't got this card.
Only 2 Sprewell Crazy Collectors have this in the world.
If this season ticket was realeased, it was really really beautiful.
Tim Duncan Rookie Autograph, Kobe Bryant Sophomore and first time autograph.
Payton, ZO, Spree, Howard, EJ is not easy to get Autographer.
But it could be impossible at that time.
Because In 1997-98
Tim Duncan didn't autograph in his Rookie Season except college cards
Kobe Bryant autograph was only Stadium Club Co-signers
Alonzo Mourning autograph was only from 1997-98 Skybox Premium
No Sprewell NBA Autograph exist except 1996-97 Skybox Premium
Eddie Jones didn't autograph anything in 1997-98 Season.
Anyway it was really really great if these cards were released as autograph.
Especially Tim Duncan Autograph
J.K.
P.S : There are 3 more Cards exist but because of poor knowledge of beckett empolyee, only 7 cards are in checklist.
Michael Jordan, Anfernee Hardaway and Tim Hardaway also exist.
It means Total Set is 10 cards.
And I think I may be the only person get 7 cards in the world.Last edited by nbacard; 08-15-2008 at 09:01 AM.

Thanks for the information man, you're one of the few people who actually knows a lot about old 90s insert cards. Besides the Jordan and Penny Hardaway, I had no idea these other cards existed, until i took a look at your bucket.
You see, I was a huge fan of the 97-98 UD3 series back in the day, and i always wanted to pull one of these auto tickets out of a pack, especially after seeing one of my friends pull a Penny Hardaway, and now, it's just great to see all of them together. Thanks again for sharing, and i too am curious to know how much you paid for all of them?

Thank you guys
Penny Season Ticket was not easy(AKA really hard) to pull.
Because ratio is 1:1,500 and there are 4 players in this autograph set.
(MJ, Penny, Juwan Howard and Tim Hardaway)
It was really lucky your friend could pull Penny Season Ticket Autograph. :)
Generally, I have revaeled most of my paid price but for these set, I don't want to tell about my buying price. Sorry =)
The only thing I can tell is I paid too much....=)
Yah..as my post, it would be really crazy even if only Kobe or Tim duncan was released.
Like Most of case of my aquiring, it was only luck.
For the first time, I saw Season Ticket Trade was Alonzo Mourning.
I saw that card from Japan Hardcore ZO Collector.
But I didn't listen anything about that.
Luckily, one of my european friend told me, he had that card then I bought.
and about 1 year ago, I could see Tim Duncan Season Ticket appeared at beckett.com board.
He let Tim Duncan Season Ticket with BIN and Best offer as 700$.
It ended within 12 hours, I offered too much though...:(
It was weired because one of my european friend(The Same people) sent me e-mail, he also had Tim Duncan, Sprewell etc. as soon as that auction ended.
And another Ebay Seller Break some of that set.
I could get Eddie Jones and Juwan Howard from Him.
Frankly Speaking, I had no idea to make set.
But ZO has been my best player so I got EJ
Then I wanted Kobe Because EJ was Kobe's mento.
I also wanted Tim Duncan because it was Duncan's rookie season card.
I saw Seller sold me EJ and Juwan Howard let Michael Jordan as the same time. and I had no plan to make set at that time.
One MJ Hardcore collector steal that card..I think I won't be able to get that card...:(
Anyway Thank you guys for your interesting about my post. :)

It is not easy to get Chicago Bulls or San Antonio Spurs Super team.
Because it was redemption card to get Redemption Refractors set like below.(right one)
I may assume, most of people sent bulls and spurs to get that set.
SO that's the reason why those spurs and bulls can be hard to find and get cards. =)
