Texas reception hall rejects gay couple.
^I think I can post one of these every single day, actually maybe multiple every single day.
These people just don't get it....they probably never will get it.
You CAN'T deny your service based on the sexual orientation of a person.
What you think of these people is simply not up for discussion....if you wish to remain in business you must follow the rules....or get out of business.
You are not taking a stance for your religion.
You are taking a stance for bigotry and intolerance.
Let's make this simple to understand.
I'm going to use McDonalds as the example.
They can refuse service to ANYONE based on certain things....such as coming into their restaurant without a shirt or shoes.
However, can you imagine if an employee (a christian one) saw a gay couple and said...."I'm sorry but my religion doesn't allow me to do business with your type so I'm going to refuse you eating here".
This is basically what's going on in business after business.
Whether it's a bakery in Oregon or a reception hall in Texas.Last edited by JustAlex; 02-24-2013 at 04:10 AM.

BTW....the best part of this story is the fact that the reception hall is called "All Occasion Party Place".
Here's the new name:
"All Occasion Party Place.....unless the occasion is gay".Last edited by JustAlex; 02-24-2013 at 04:24 AM.

although I agree with the fact these people are dumb and wrong, and I would not do business with them, depending on what state they are in, it is not a crime.
The fact gay marriage has been left at a state level and the feds still have done nothing is crap. and it is even funnier they claim to be pro homosexual, if so, why not step up at a federal level to fix this? perhaps because it is easier to ride the fence and do nothing at all?

Pro homosexual?
Wouldn't that make them anti heterosexual?

I wouldn't run my business like this, but is there a law that they are breaking?

What do you expect?
It's Texas, the 2nd most bizarre place in the Western World after Quebec.
