I facepalmed when I saw the puck go over the glass - I knew that the Hawks would tie it up at that point. Great goal by Kane, and what moves in the shootout!

I can't believe Detroit was 2:30 away from breaking their streak, and took not one, but TWO delay - puck over glass penalties.
And yes, that was an amazing game to watch!

Due To Rules Violations
Top 8 from each conference still make the playoffs...I realize in a 48 game season, regular season games are more important than in an 82 game season... BUT with the fantastic start they could go .500 the rest of the season and still sit pretty playoff seed wise... Round 1 of the playoffs they will be eliminated...

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say your a Philly fan? Anyway you have no evidence to back up your claims. Out of the previous top 5 teams for opening season start, 4 of those 5 went on to win the cup. We will just have to wait.
But if you'd like to wager a high end card against another high end card as a wager to see if the hawks will make it past the first round I'll certainly take that wager!!!

What does me being a Flyers fan have to do with the price of rice in China...or anything else?! If anything it adds to my argument with all the streaks and strong starts they've had throughout the teams history... Sure its my opinion the Hawks will lose in the first round of the playoffs, you can't argue that the playoffs are really when it matters MOST. Look into the leagues history and tell me how many times a Presidents Trophy winner also took home the Cup (we are assuming they continue their tear throughout the rest of the regular season of course)... I'm not discounting the fact they are red hot... nor am I trying to hate on them... As for betting, I don't do it... most of my "high end" cards of are Flyers stuff anyway ;)
