Players or sets that were once hot but now are not
Post any players or sets that were once hot and were what everyone wanted but are now either ice cold or sell for a fraction of what they once did.
I'll start it off:
1994 Topps Traded #44T Ben Grieve RC
After winning the 1998 AL ROY this rookie card was selling for $25-$40. Does it even go for a buck now?Trade Bucket: Hidden Content

View my store BetaDwight Gooden '85 Donruss is one I remember. Hell, all his cards were hot.
The '88 Donruss Gregg Jefferies (or was it the '89) was really hot, too.Hidden Content

View my store BetaBrien Taylor, #1 overall pick by the Yankees in '91. He was the "next big thing"...and fizzled miserably after getting hurt in a bar fight. He's now serving time in prison on cocaine charges.

View my store BetaAs a Tiger fan, I'd have to say it would be Armando Galarraga. He was an okay pitcher, but of course is famous for the Near No Hitter. I remember his cards were a hot commodity after that game a few years back, Now I think they're only worth maybe a buck if that.
