So you're saying adding Verlander, Price, Kershaw, Trout, Harper, Tulowitzki etc wouldn't match up? Yes, I question if you are just hating here, or even follow Baseball. The best players for the most part aren't playing and the US still has a pretty good roster.

If the best players actually participated, the US would have an amazing roster. Or do you really think Ryan Vogelsong, Jimmy Rollins etc and the likes are not significantly lesser players than a Verlander or Tulowitzki?

The main reason the tournament exists is to make money, though....
