Make your photobucket linking close to same as old way go to

1 - Click drop down menu under your user name ( top right corner )
2- Click user settings
3- Click on the Albums tab
4- Click check box " Turn on easy linking mode "
5- Click Save

Now your pics should have the same style links as old photobucket and your vertical pics won't be cut in half in your album view
