Word to the wise... Flipping ain't so easy!
Same 1/1 card showed up on Ebay within 3 months, i'm guessing winner tried to flip it and didn't get quite enough. Why can't people just buy cards for the enjoyment??
Auction Ended 1/12/2013

Attempt to flip Auction Ended 3/3/2013

Ended up losing $1.01 on the whole deal, for a 3 month hold I'd call that wasted money. I'm sure SOMEONE out there (ME! for instance) would have been glad to buy it once and proudly display it in my collection. This kind of stuff drives me insane.
Ok sorry, rant over.

Not knowing anything about the sellers situation it seems very premature to say it was purchased only to flip. And even if it was I see no problem with it.

Might have been a financial situation where they had to sell to get cash (lost job etc) instead of flipping. A 1/1 card of a Hall of Fame player isn't really something you would flip at a random date. So if they were trying to flip then they weren't very smart.

let me guess, you got outbidded on the first auction or the seller of the card tried to sell it to you at a higher price?
but then again, flipping is easy if you know what your buying.

I don't think flipping in general is all that bad, but a card like that I would definitely want to keep in my collection.
