    Vancouver Bonsor Visitors.... Need feedback

    Hey Guys,

Thinking of maybe getting a table at the show in May and trying to do some live group breaks at the event (prob will film for the online buyers, but hopefully a lot of it will be filled with locals at the show). I know sometimes people will pack war a box but never any full breaks.

Also thinking of doing a Raffle like event to get some buzz. I was thinking a raffle of 10 spots at $5 each.

I would have all the people listed who paid $5 and do a random for a box of 11-12 Pinnacle. I am thinking $5 is worth a gamble for an entire sealed box.

Please let me know your thoughts on both ideas.

    Thanks!

    Jon

    Hey

From my experience of trying to organize these things at the monthly shows .....

1 - Its hard to get everyone to agree on something to bust

2 - Peoples wallet size ( and therefor preference in wax ) varies a lot

3 - Most of the collectors here don't want to only bust 1 box, your chance of hitting anything is very small

The raffle may be a good idea, but I would let the box choice be up to the winner of the raffle ..... though it basically is "everyone put $5 in to try and win $50" if its not actually for a certain prize.

I know there is a group of us that wouldnt mind putting in $100+ each if there is something worthwhile to bust. It would have to be a multi box break, or even case break, and the hits would have to be a snake draft style to ensure people are not totally shut out. Most of the people on the boards that go to the shows, and the core people we hang out with each month are not wax breakers. 5 years ago we would be, but as wax prices rise ..... hits get cheaper and cheaper ..... the core people have gotten smarter by not buying wax.
