When Bush left office, gas prices were low because EVERY prices were low because consumer spending was lowwwwwwww because the US was mired in a recession which almost became a depression. The simple capitalist theory of supply & demand.
A US gallon of gas, 3.78 litres, in Maple Ridge BC Canada today is $5.17 CDN, which works out to $5.11 US. The same gallon of gas in Seattle WA today is $3.45. No one in this country is calling for PM Harper's head on a platter, not for THAT reason anyway.
We tax the heck out of gas in this country because it helps to pay for things like infrastructure and road safety and such.
The issues that The Right choose to scream about confounds me.Last edited by 87sluggo; 04-03-2013 at 11:10 PM.
