Maybe if he ate some meat he wouldn't be so high strung.

Who brings their own food to a restaurant anyway? I get being vegan/vegetarian, but if the place doesn't serve the food you eat why go there and expect them to cook food that you brought?

I never heard of that either. If the place is not veg friendly I wouldn't trust them cooking my food let alone trust eating any of their own food.

If you're going to bring your own food why not just cook it yourself at home? Whats the point of going out if you just bring your own food to begin with, doesn't it defeat the purpose of going out to eat?

Just saying but did you hear the story about the guy who brought his own T-bone to the steakhouse to be cooked? Yeah me neither, GO MEAT!

My father in law is real picky about what he eats. He will not eat at a restaurant under any circumstances and very dosen't trust too many people's cooking.

My dad is the same way, + everything has to be organic. He's probably gonna outlive me tho!

As far as food costs being cut because you bring your own pasta? Back in the day I managed a restaurant, the food cost on a $16.95 Chicken & Mushroom Linguini was $1.56.......................

In many parts of the World, if the stated restaurant price is say $15.00, they will cook your own caught fish for you for about $12.00.

If his pasta meal had a $12.00 price tag, he should not be complaining. The Kitchen still has to adapt to his quantity. They have to make sure that his meal is cooked to his exact specifications, this does not come free. Restaurants are in the business to make money by serving a decent meal. They are not in the business of having everyone drag in their own groceries and try to run the Kitchen and wait-staff.

He needs to make himself a bowl of lentils, stay at home, and go sulk in his living room corner.
