It is quality products but not worth a $1000 gamble IMO. I know one guy got a book of Superlative (retail around $400-500).

not sure why people are dumping 1000$ for these, 500$ would be a gamble, as there are SPX boxes and stuff like that involved. Even the 05-06 Cup will only bring around 700$ for a sealed tin (have seen them in a couple LCS' at that price)

I haven't personally seen any boxes that are completely awful but the best of the best is the 05/06 Cup Tin and I can't imagine the odds of hitting that one are great si $1k is well off base IMO.

I bought two three box cases and hit one of the redemptions - now I have a box of 05/06 SPA coming my way. Could have certainly been worse - but with the luck I had when this product released I think I will be moving the box without breaking it.

Numbers may be a little bit off but 05/06 I busted three and a half cases - no Crosbys or Ovechkins or any real decent hits for that matter. I don't recall recouping more than 20% of those breaks at the time.

06/07 I went in a little tentative - bought half a case, hit both an Ovechkin and a Crosby as well as an 05/06 SOTT SP Gretz that I ended up selling for $600. Very happy with the 06/07 stuff for sure.

Oh well - people seem to have forgotten what the 05/06 stuff yields so there is some value in the box - may just throw it on the shelf for a couple of years to see what happens.

A guy at my local shop pulled one and redeemed it. He got a box of Trilogy. I can't remember which year but I'm pretty sure there are no $1000 cards in any year of Trilogy.
