    I'm frankly surprised that more bad teams don't just give tickets away. Fans will no doubt use concessions when they are there, so why would you rather 5000 fans per night paying in miami if you could double or triple that number of "freebie" fans. Given the markup on beers, it doesn't take that much in concession sales to even out a ticket price.

    Teams usually DO NOT make any money on food concessions. Food concessions have a seasonal set lease agreement! The Nats usually have some Buy one get one ticket promotions
