Might get a bucket
Have a computer guy coming tomorrow to look at breathing life into an old scanner. If he gets it going I would like to get myself a bucket. I'm wearing out the keyboard letters. Can a person who is going to celebrate the 30th anniversary of his 21st birthday soon, with somewhat limited computer skills get a bucket going easily? Any tips/suggestions?

Registering for photobucket is just like signing up for any other site, so if you have done that before then your good. If you have a Facebook account you can even sign up through there without having to fill out everything.

I hope the computer guy is a good one. I have registered for other sites, its the scanning, downloading, creating sub-pages, editing thing I will find tricky.

I'm really not great with computers myself and I found photobucket pretty easy to learn (if tedious at times).

Thanks for the input. I'm actually looking forward to trying. Maybe you can teach an old dog new tricks.

I find photobucket to be the spawn of the devil. Ok well maybe not that bad. It does serve its purpose. However it is very 'clunky' and doesn't port well to handhelds (IMO). I use my own web server (I am that 'computer guy') and a front end gallery display.
I did see someone using Googles service that seemed different, clean and fairly fast. A change over the many PBs.
That and PB is blocked at work. I can access Facebook but apparently PB is not allowed.....
Anyho GL!

Depends what you are going to use photobucket for. I just use it to post my scans and I don't use it for anything else so all of the issues I hear about photobucket don't really apply to me. The one thing you should know is that they recently changed their entire layout and t he one thing that annoys me is that you can no longer view multiple pages of images on the same page and you need to scroll through pages individually which can be a major pain in the butt.

I hate photobucket, haven't updated mine in years. Especially now it's worthless for me as I'm willing to sell and trade most of my stuff anyway. But if you have a lot of PC items or rip a lot and want a way to remember your hits I guess it's kinda cool
