They need to do something about overcrowding. San Quentin now has 3 times the inmate population of their maximum. There are bunk beds all over the place, and depending on the social status, a homo-sexual free for all on a daily basis.

Many large State Prisons are operating at 2-4 times their maximum. Now that most of the State Corrections have been privatized, jailers only want the $160,000 per inmate, they don't have maximums in terms of population.

Stack e'm high and hope they don't die.

If you look at the new statistics in terms of Marijuana Legalization. Private Corrections companies have their own Large Lobby to protect the jails from emptying once marijuana minor possession falls by the wayside.

Correction Companies and their Lobby want every American caught with One Joint to spend 18 months in the Crowbar Hotel. It's out of control.

I would prefer more isolation, stricter prisons, and harsher rules.
for the money we pay per year per prisoner, we should be able to afford it.

Not really that would be the ultimate insult for some guy to come at you in prison with a condom. Get ready to show him your knuckle game.

That's a nice thought, but ignores the intense overcrowding.

Overcrowding has already been mentioned. I'd like to know how, without fixing that or building more prisons, you would separate prisoners who are stacked on top of each other.

Remember, you like the "tough on crime" approach, so answer honestly.
